SUMMER PORTRAITS
DENVAL MILLER

During the way too short summer of 2023, I had the pleasure of shooting with Denval Miller who I now consider to be a close friend. Denval has decided to re enter the world of modelling, and whilst respecting the codes set by Lucinda Leon Models and the world of modelling in general, wanted to add my style of imagery to his visual presentation.

Denval is a buyer, designer, style curator with a distinctive and powerful presence and we wanted to reflect his holistic character through the images we created together. We shot this portrait and the series in Shoreditch in London (where else lol) and have more shoots together coming soon!

ENIA SOFIA
LONDON 2023

This portrait along with the rest in the series was a very long time in the making, I first met Enia some years ago and we have been in contact ever since. Talks over work / life and ambitions were the topics of our conversations.

Enia is passionate about exploring new ways of expressing existence through music. Her music is a search for empathy, the impact of the environment on people and the search for meaning in a word. With lyrics that find beauty in the smallest things, her music explores pain and joy in a journey of the everyday to the sublime. With creativity as her lifeblood, she utilises her talent and knowledge for music and therapeutic clinical input to support and improve the lives of youngsters and families across London and beyond. Enia is now playing regular gigs around London and beyond.

The entire collection and accompanying story is now live and featured as part of the growing STILL STORIES collection at VISUAL MARVELRY.

ANTHONY FORDE.
PORTRAITS THAT TRANSFORM

“A glimpse into the future re by @theagendabrown I am a spoken word artist, actor and director. My vision and mission is to encourage and support Black brilliance which I believe is thoroughly under represented in society today.” Says Anthony.

After many, many years of knowing Anthony we finally got to shoot together. I am happy to have caught and seen that "other" side of you...

TOBY. A NEW CHIEFTAIN FROM THE ORIGINAL CHAPTER

I photographed Toby in the very early stages of THE NEW CHIEFTAINS journey. At the time he was in business with the super talented Bileghan Ates of BLACKHORSE LANE ATELIERS.

Toby says… I grew up in Wales, but my mum’s from New Zealand. I was back there, staying in a cabin on the beach when Han got in touch. I’d just come in from a swim when I got a message from a man in London I’d never met before. We agreed to meet up when I got back to London, and found a place on Old Street.

The day I finally close my eyes, I want to know I’ve been part of a process, part of a team of people who did something really good. Something other people valued. In my time on this earth, I just want to know I did something good.

With Blackhorse Ateliers, I feel that. I feel fulfilled.
