THE MILLER LIBERTINE / VISUAL MARVELRY STORY: MILLER LIBERTINE is a taste branding consultancy. Building distinctive connections and loyalty at the deepest level between you and your most valued clients.

They combine stories with culinary excellence to create personalised multi-sensory edible masterpieces and dining experiences. Their projects vary widely ranging from bespoke confectionary and beverages to experiences such as brunch or afternoon tea.

Since the early inception of Cake Liberation Visual Marvelry™ has been shaping and strengthening the visual persona of Natasha’s  ideas and products. We proudly gained 8 Great taste awards as Cake Liberation and now with Miller Libertine some exciting projects and experiences are ahead.

My role of Creative & Visual Director for the launch campaign (Joining forces with the amazing Dean Pauley) was accented by my photographical approach. The brief was to entice and immerse the audience into the world of Miller Libertine and what it stands for. To quote Natasha: “Why tell a story when you can taste one”?

“Life is richer when you can taste it! Food is powerful, it inspires deep and enduring connections between an individual and a time, place, feeling, and indeed others”

NATASHA is the visionary behind Miller Libertine, who started her business to show her clients, community and the wider world that life is richer when you can taste it. Natasha’s taste education began with childhood weekly shopping trips to a popular Hackney market with her grandmother.

She learnt precious skills even the best French culinary colleges do not teach; the importance of touch and scent to discern the sweetest pineapples and juiciest strawberries.

COLLECTION ONE: C’EST LIBERTIE BESPOKE AFTERNOON TEA EXPERIENCE

An enchanting voyage of flavours. Exploring food and flavour is a constant journey of discovery. Working with POSTCARD TEAS we re-imagined the Wonders of the World as a menu of exotic adventure.

AZTEC PINEAPPLE GOLD

This exotic confit pineapple tartlet is the perfect golden match
with fresh ginger and lime to revive and inspire our inner explorer.

CACAO CONQUEST

The intense accords of toasted almonds, rich chocolate ganache contrast beautifully with a crunchy nougatine and dark sable biscuit. An unrivalled taste expedition.

WINTER ILLUMINATION FRUIT CAKE

Inspired by the duality of Winter, this cake comes from a collection,
which draws upon both the brilliance of the Northern lights against the midnight black sky and the sanctuary or ‘Hygge’ it impels us to search for.

Vine ripened fruit macerated in fine port and Jamaican Wray and Nephew rum combined with a blend of aromatic spices
create an unparalleled flavour. A moist crumb base is topped by hand with natural marzipan, fondant icing and a stunning gold leaf flourish. Great Taste Award winner.

COLLECTION TWO: PROJECT REDVOLUTIONARY

The RedVolutionary cake and lemonade are part of a project promoting food banks and THE CHILDREN’S SOCIETIES campaign for free school meals.

Inspired by 1940’s munitions factory workers committed to effecting change, this piece of culinary artistry brought together historical references and current issues by creating a contemporary centrepiece too striking to ignore. Her luxe red velvet sponge layers are filled with a divine whipped vanilla bean creme and a delicious fresh raspberry and hibiscus couli.

The Great Taste Winner, the REDVOLUTIONARY CAKE was conceived and produced in collaboration with Agenda of VISUAL MARVELRY™ and supported by RED WINGS SHOES, JAMIE OLIVER and DENHAM JEANS.

My role was to funnel all of the powerful creative energy in the studio through the lens and make sure that the essence of the brief / vision and values of Miller Libertine remained true. The simple shooting approach kept the powerful concepts visible in the final images.
